WHAT IS IT?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is the concentrated part of blood that contains platelets. When injected into tissue, growth factors are released aiding in cell repair and generation of new tissues. As we age, collagen production in the body starts to slow and our skin starts to lose its elasticity and fullness which leads to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. PRP Therapy stimulates skin cells resulting in increased elasticity, plumpness and tightening of the skin.

Bookings

All bookings can be made online via our booking link. No deposit is required, however, you will need to enter your card details to secure your appointment time.
Policies

Cancellation Policy We are a small business and any booking amendments require a minimum of 48 hours notice as our clinic is ran by appointment only, so we require enough time to contact someone on the waitlist to attempt to fill any last minute availabilities. We ask that you respectfully give 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you do happen to cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee will occur which will be 50% of your reserved service. If you are a no show, or cancel on the day you will be required to pay 100% of your service. If you have a scheduled appointment, you will be sent an SMS reminder 48 hours before your appointment and another email reminder 24 hours before. These reminders are a courtesy and do not remove your responsibility for keeping appointments once they have been made.

Do not take blood thinners or anti-inflammatories such as Aspirin, Nurofen, Vitamin E, Allergy tablets, Voltaren, etc. These medications will disrupt the PRP process. You may take Panadol.

You must attend your review appointment with your Cosmetic Nurse, a three-month check-up is also required to check your progress.

After your PRP treatment, swelling may be present for 24 to 48 hours. The swelling will subside over the next few days. Please ensure you sleep elevated to help reduce swelling.

Fingertip light sweeping massage can help clear lymphatic fluid from the treated areas. Do not sauna, spa or exercise for 2 days post procedure.

Do not apply make-up for 12 hours post procedure.

SIDE EFFECTS THAT MAY OCCUR
You can expect inflammation, redness and warmth from this procedure lasting up to 3 days. You can, however, apply ice to the area and take an antihistamine to help with swelling.

Avoid facial waxing, bleaching or hair dying for the next two weeks. Your treated area will feel a bit tender for a few days.

Results take around 2-3 weeks to see, and a series of treatments is recommended. Your skin should continue to improve with time following your treatment program.

After the initial 2-3 treatments and reaching your desired result, a repeat treatment should be done annually to keep up the effects.

If you experience and increase in swelling after 24 hours, skin colour changes or fever contact your Cosmetic Nurse.
